Going Grey Is A Good Thing!

Grey is a wonderfully versatile color, and its popularity is moving from cars and fashion into home decor. Search "grey" (or gray) on Pinterest  or Houzz and you'll discover thousands of photos of walls, furniture, cabinets and fabric that feature the color. From charcoal to "greige" (grey with warm undertones that lean towards beige), this color can be warm or cool, feminine or masculine, traditional or modern.

In furniture, grey paint or stain is a fantastic backdrop for strong, bold colors, beautiful architecture or a striking view. In cabinetry, grey looks great paired with black and white, or a dark Espresso stain, as seen in the kitchens above.

A recent trend we've seen from our dealers is painted oak cabinets in shades of grey. White, Creme and Mist paint are enhanced by Licorice Patina to create a range of subtle greys. The bold grain pattern of oak adds texture and visual interest to the design.

Grey is available in a wide range of programs and materials offered by Canyon Creek. We have a number of standard colors, and stains, paints, and enhancements can be customized for just the right look. What do you think of grey in the home? Is it a trend, or is it here to stay?
